Bronx Society of Science and Letters and the William C. Woolfson collection, 1917-1982.

Papers, correspondence, and records of the Bronx Society of Arts and Sciences (later called the Bronx Society of Science and Letters). These are especially important for the history of the Edgar Allan Poe Cottage, a prime focus of the society. Also included are photographs and sketches of Poe and the cottage, and papers of William C. Woolfson (including a card file on which his book They were here is based) and Frank Wuttge, Jr. (including musical scores for works of Poe and Joseph Rodman Drake, and a manuscript of his unpublished work Mocassin paths : trails through the Bronx).
